About Us

ALIS Wales is a group of Library and Information Service professionals working towards the sharing and development of best practice in all aspects of disability support within Library and Information Service provision in the Higher Education sector in Wales.

Our objective is to offer transparency of services and initiatives, and to promote greater equality and independence for our disabled stakeholders. Our aim is to disseminate good practice and implement change where possible, through consultation and the integration and embedding of inclusive practices in our services.

To take these aspirations forward the members meet regularly to discuss common issues and experiences in order to improve and/or develop their provision. Members meet through both videoconferencing and site meetings that are hosted by different institutions across Wales and culminates in our Annual General Meeting and annual Conference.
